Teen punched in face in assault inside Woodside 7 station: NYPD – QNS.com

A youth was assaulted inside Woodside Transit Center on the afternoon of Wednesday July 20.

Police in the 108th Precinct and Transit District 20 are searching for the suspect who engaged in a verbal argument with the 13-year-old boy inside the 61st Woodside Avenue 7 subway station above Roosevelt Avenue just after 4 p.m.

The argument escalated when the man pushed the teenager to the ground and then punched him in the face, causing a laceration under his left eye, police said. The suspect fled in an unknown direction and the victim was taken to Elmhurst Hospital in a stable condition.

The NYPD released surveillance footage of the suspect who was last seen wearing a yellow tank top with blue lettering and a yellow backpack.
