Brother of missing Scotsman last seen near train station makes frantic online appeal


The brother of a missing Scotsman has made a frantic appeal online in a bid to bring him home.

Shaun Banner was last seen in Invergordon, Highlands, in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The 34-year-old was spotted near the city’s train station before disappearing.

Shaun’s brother Alan took to Facebook on Saturday night to urge anyone with information to get in touch in a public appeal.

He wrote: “If you have seen my brother Shaun Banner can you please get in touch.

“He’s been missing since the early hours of Saturday morning.”

Alan shared photos of his brother, hoping someone might recognize him.

Shaun is described as five-foot-seven with short brown hair, blue eyes and a slim build.

When last seen, he was wearing green and brown Crofter work pants, a gray Rogue Attitude down jacket, a blue CSR work top and grey, purple and blue Nike Air max sneakers.

Police Scotland said they were becoming “increasingly concerned” for Shaun’s well-being.

Sergeant Claire Mackenzie said: ‘We are increasingly concerned for Shaun’s well-being as he has not been in contact with his friends and family.

“Anyone with any information about Shaun’s fate or well-being is asked to contact the police via 101 quoting incident 2300 of April 23 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
